Job description


NetImpact is seeking a SharePoint & Knowledge Manager to design, administer, and optimize enterprise content platforms supporting internal and external stakeholder engagement. This role blends strong SharePoint engineering and administration capabilities with structured content and knowledge management to build scalable intranet and extranet solutions, implement automated workflows, and maintain a centralized communications hub as the authoritative source for enterprise content.
The ideal candidate will architect and manage small content management system (CMS) in Microsoft environments (e.g., SharePoint), enforce content governance standards, and enable efficient, repeatable content lifecycle processes. This role is critical to ensuring information is accessible, well-structured, and aligned with organizational standards while supporting high-tempo operational and communications needs.
*The individual must live within a 50-mile radius of Scott AFB, IL as you will be required on-site 3 days a week.
Responsibilities
  • Design, configure, and administer SharePoint Online environments, including site architecture, permissions, libraries, and external-facing (extranet) capabilities
  • Develop and implement automated workflows using Power Automate and related tools to support intake, approvals, publishing, and lifecycle management
    • Integrate SharePoint with Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and other M365 services to support collaboration and content distribution
  • Build and maintain scalable intranet/extranet solutions that support structured content delivery and stakeholder access - working with Web Master and other external departments to ensure functional requirements are met by collaborates
  • Establish and enforce content governance standards, including taxonomy, metadata, version control, and document lifecycle policies
  • Serve as owner of enterprise content repositories (Comms Hub), ensuring accuracy, consistency, and accessibility of materials
    • Build and manage SharePoint-based content management systems (CMS) and structuring content for usability, accessibility, and scalability
  • Translate intake requirements into structured, user-friendly content and templates aligned with enterprise standards
  • Optimize information architecture and search functionality to improve discoverability and user experience
  • Coordinate content review, validation, and publishing processes to meet defined SLAs and quality expectations
  • Monitor platform performance, usage analytics, and adoption trends; implement improvements based on insights
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (communications, IT, OCM) to align platform capabilities with operational and stakeholder needs

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Ability to obtain Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Digital Media, Communications Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience designing, administering, and optimizing SharePoint Online / Microsoft 365 environments in an enterprise setting
    • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including SharePoint Online, Power Automate, Power Apps, and Teams integration
    • Strong hands-on experience with SharePoint site architecture, including site collections, hub sites, permissions models, document libraries, and external (extranet) collaboration environments
  • Solid understanding of information architecture, taxonomy design, and content governance best practices
  • Experience managing permissions, site collections, content databases, and document libraries
  • Proficiency with Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power Apps) to design and implement automated workflows (e.g., intake, approvals, publishing, notifications)
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint Framework (SPFx), HTML/CSS, and basic JavaScript for customizing pages, web parts, and user experience
  • Working knowledge of PowerShell scripting for SharePoint administration and automation
    • Familiarity with SQL Server or backend data structures supporting SharePoint environments
    • Experience designing and implementing information architecture, including taxonomy, metadata strategy, tagging, and content lifecycle governance
  • Experience documenting system architecture, configurations, and processes
  • Strong understanding of user experience (UX) and interface design principles for intranet/extranet platforms
  • Strong content quality control skills, including editing, structuring, and standardizing content to align with enterprise branding and governance standards

The posted salary range for this role is $80,000-105,000. Compensations are determined by several mitigating factors including skillset, experience, trainings, location, and other factors including benefits packages.
