As a Modern Work consultant at Slalom, you'll work with cross functional teams to design, build, and support modern collaboration and content solutions using Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, and Copilot. You'll partner closely with client stakeholders, architects, engineers, designers, and security teams to translate business needs into secure, scalable, and -user-friendly SharePoint and -Copilot enabled- experiences.
You'll be part of Slalom's Modern Work practice-an inclusive, collaborative group focused on delivering high impact Microsoft 365 solutions across collaboration, content, security, and -AI powered- ways of working, including Copilot agents and Power Platform solutions.
Title: Consultant or Senior Consultant
What You'll Do
  • Design, develop, and maintain SharePoint Online solutions, including modern sites, libraries, lists, pages, and navigation that support clients' collaboration and content management needs.
  • Build custom SharePoint components and solutions using SPFx, Power Automate, and Microsoft Graph / REST APIs.
  • Administer and support SharePoint Online environments, including site collections, permissions, security groups, content types, term store, and search configuration.
  • Design, build, and configure Copilot agents (using Copilot Studio or similar tools) that leverage SharePoint and other data sources to enable AI powered knowledge retrieval, self-service, and productivity scenarios.
  • Implement governance, security, and compliance best practices across SharePoint and Copilot solutions, partnering with client IT and security teams to align with organizational policies.
  • Integrate SharePoint with other Microsoft 365 services (Teams, OneDrive, Viva, Power BI) and line of business systems to create cohesive digital workplace experiences.
  • Support implementation efforts across the delivery lifecycle, including solution design, configuration, customization, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
  • Monitor and optimize SharePoint and Copilot solutions using analytics and feedback; iterate information architecture, prompts, and flows to improve usability and outcomes.
  • Contribute to client enablement and adoption through documentation, technical runbooks, training support, and change enablement activities.
  • Stay current on Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power Platform, and Copilot roadmap and capabilities, share learnings and reusable assets within Slalom's communities of practice.

What You'll Bring
  • Experience designing, developing, and administering SharePoint Online solutions, including modern sites, permissions, information architecture, and search.
  • Hands-on experience with SharePoint development and customization using SPFx, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, and Microsoft Graph / REST APIs.
  • Practical experience with Power Platform (Power Automate; Dataverse a plus) to extend and automate SharePoint and Microsoft 365 solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience building or configuring Copilot agents or similar AI/chatbot solutions (e.g., Copilot Studio, Power Virtual Agents), including connecting to SharePoint and other enterprise data sources.
  • Understanding of Microsoft 365 security, compliance, and governance concepts (Entra ID/Azure AD, groups, conditional access, DLP, sensitivity/retention labels) and how they apply to SharePoint and Copilot.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills across SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and integrations, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
  • Ability to work directly with clients-gathering requirements, explaining options, and translating business needs into practical, human-centered technical solutions.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with comfort working across technical and nontechnical stakeholders in a consulting or client facing environment.
  • A growth mindset, including curiosity about emerging Microsoft 365 and AI capabilities, willingness to learn, and openness to feedback.

For this role, we are hiring at the following levels and targeted base pay salary ranges: The targeted base salary pay range for this role is listed below. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.

Senior Consultant: $158,000 - $193,500
Consultant: $128,500 - $157,000
San Diego, Los Angeles, Orange County, Seattle, New Jersey, New York City, Westchester, Boston, Washington DC:
Senior Consultant: $145,000 - $177,000
Consultant: $118,000 - $144,000
All other locations:
Senior Consultant: $133,000-$162,500
Consultant: $108,000 - $132,000
