Job description

Location: Remote (US)
Scale: 150,000+ Users
Role Summary
We are seeking a Google Workspace Systems Engineer to play a key hands-on role in our enterprise migration from Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace and Gemini Enterprise.
In this role, you will work directly with senior architects and external integration teams to configure, test, and execute technical migration workflows across a 150k+ user environment. You will be responsible for building migration pipelines, configuring security policies, troubleshooting integration issues, and ensuring a seamless end-user transition.
Key Responsibilities
Execute hands-on migration tasks, moving user data, mailboxes, and document repositories (SharePoint/OneDrive to Google Drive) using enterprise migration tools.
Configure Google Workspace core services, admin controls, Conditional Access Awareness (CAA), Data Loss Prevention (DLP) rules, and Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations with Entra ID.
Build and maintain automation scripts (Apps Script, Python, or PowerShell) and AppSheet applications to streamline administrative tasks and data transfer processes.
Monitor and maintain technical coexistence between Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, troubleshooting routing, calendar sharing, and directory sync issues as they arise.
Assist with the practical rollout of Gemini Enterprise tools, ensuring user permissions, data access boundaries, and basic connector settings are properly configured.
Create detailed technical documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Tier 3 support teams during and after the migration.
Key Qualifications
3–6 years of experience in Systems Engineering, Cloud Administration, or IT Infrastructure roles.
Hands-on experience administering Google Workspace in a medium-to-large enterprise environment.
Direct involvement in cloud-to-cloud data migrations (specifically Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace).
Technical proficiency with Identity Management (Entra ID/Azure AD, Google Cloud Identity, SSO, and provisioning protocols like SCIM).
Comfortable using Google Apps Script, Python, PowerShell, or GAM (Google Apps Manager) for automation and batch management.
Strong troubleshooting skills across mail flow, DNS (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), identity sync, and access permissions
