Job description

Role Overview
This is an in-office position supporting Logistics and Trade- onsite in Rochester, New York. Will be spending a small amount of time on manufacturing/warehouse floor.
The Industrial Engineer will lead the identification of issues and apply lean principles to implement operational improvements in WW Logistics and Foreign Trade organization. Use data to drive business decisions, make operational changes as it relates to Customer Orders, Inventory strategies, warehouse processes, transportation management. Work with other support organizations such as planning, purchasing, and customer service to drive improvements or implement new business practices.
Responsibilities:
• Lead, facilitate and participate in cross functional process improvements - using data to identify the opportunities.
• Lead and implement site lean activities such as 5S, standard work, visual management, pace to takt, value stream mapping, Kaizen, and 8D to drive out waste and improve productivity.
• Develop detailed plans, drive project performance, and assure timely completion of improvement projects
• Lead and track continuous improvement activities through all functional areas, coordinate, and communicate with Leadership, Supply Chain, Customer Order Services, and Procurement.
• Facilitating process excellence for new/changing businesses or issue resolutions.
• Responsibilities include leading/hosting conference calls and cross-functional meetings, follow-up with Operations Leadership, Systems, Transportation, Inventory Control, Hazmat Team, and the warehouses.
• Collect data, create reports, analyze data using SAP Analytics, SAP, and various data sources.
• Maintain\support existing SharePoint sites.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent industrial engineering experience.
Knowledge of LEAN principles.
Project management experience.
