The role mainly involves moving trailers around the yard rather than driving over public roads, and drivers typically work independently while remaining in close communication with dispatch and other warehouse staff. Depending on the employer, there may be opportunities for overtime or weekend shifts, particularly during peak distribution periods. It's a fast-paced job that requires alertness and adaptability to meet daily operational demands.
