LEAD ELECTRICIANS - FULL-TIME EMPLOYMENT – Travel in and outside of Florida

Shaffer's Electrical Contracting has been in business over 30 years. We are located in Sanford, Florida, about twenty-five miles north of Orlando. The company is seeking full-time experienced Lead Electricians who will be responsible for running small to medium-size commercial projects. Duties include but not limited to, running small to medium-sized commercial projects, running conduit, installation and repair of electrical services, troubleshooting, and performing service calls.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Five plus years of electrical experience in commercial type of settings.

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Must be fluent to read, speak, and write in English.

· Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable to drive company vehicle.

· Must be able to travel in and outside of Florida up to 4-6 weeks at a time.

· Knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, maintenance, and repair.

· Has functioned as a Lead on commercial projects.

· Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

· Must have basic hand tools and cordless drill tools.

· Perform job duties as assigned by management.

In addition to minimum qualifications, the individual must be willing to learn skill sets to include running data cables, install data equipment, data wiring, installing air compressors and compressed air lines, motor controls, installation of large commercial ceiling fans, assembling equipment and commercial building maintenance.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of the job, it requires regularly to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl, and use eye to hand coordination. The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to fifty pounds.

· Weekly Overtime Opportunities

· Travel Flexibility – Must be able to work in and out of Florida. Traveling up to 75%. Travel is 4-6 weeks at a time.

Pay Range: $26 - $32 per hour.
