Shift: 2:30pm-11:30pm (Training on Day Shift, 6AM to 2:30PM for about 2-3 weeks)


SUMMARY: Set-up of machines used in the molding process. This includes mold base changes, purging machine, adjustment as needed, machine operation, monitoring part quality, maintaining production schedule, and may assist with secondary operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Machine Set-up:
• Mold base location
• Preheating mold base
• Changing out mold bases
• Purging the machine from foreign material
• Initial machine adjustments to run specific order
• Trouble shooting
• Performs routine maintenance on machine
Secondary Operations:
• O-ringing
• Skiving
• stamping
• Gate clipping
• Inspection of parts
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION SATEMENT (S)
• Actively participate and support the plant’s safety program.
Report any injury or near miss immediately to your Group Lead or EHS Manager. Report all unsafe conditions immediately to a Group Lead, Value Stream Manager or EHS Manager.
• Actively participate in the High-Performance Team designated for your area. The HPTs are meant to improve the work experience by allowing the employees an opportunity to offer suggestions for improvement.
• Record accurate and timely data, including order completions and quantity on daily labor reports, reclaim tickets, reject parts, and daily hours worked.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area. Keep all walkways and aisle free of any debris or clutter. Maintain 5S standards by returning tools to shadow boards. Sweep floor and finishing area as needed.
• Daily attendance is a requirement for the job, as is arriving on time. Overtime is expected when customer demand dictates the need.
• Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 3-4 years of related of machine operation experience and or training.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, such as Blue Prints, work orders, equipment operational manuals, and follow both verbal and written instructions.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply mathematical operations as: Basic addition, subtraction, and multiplication, Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables.
