We’re looking for compassionate, reliable caregivers to join our growing team!

Are you someone with life experience who wants to make a difference in another senior’s life? Many of our caregivers are in a similar stage of life and find deep purpose in helping others remain safely and happily in the homes they love. You may understand the challenges families face when caring for a loved one or you may simply be looking for flexible, part-time work that truly matters.

Whether you're just starting out or have years of caregiving experience, if you have a big heart and a desire to help others, we’ll support you every step of the way with paid training and hands-on guidance to build your confidence and skills. We'd love to meet you.

We offer flexible scheduling based on your availability and thoughtfully match you with seniors who align with your personality and strengths.

What You’ll Do

This is non-medical care focused on enhancing quality of life. Responsibilities may include:

  • Companionship and conversation

  • Light housekeeping/laundry, organizing and meal preparation

  • Medication reminders

  • Transportation to appointments and errands

  • In some cases assistance with daily living personal care activities such as feeding, bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility assistance and memory/dementia care

  • Monitor and document conditions and communicate effectively with family members and SHS® office staff

If you’ve ever supported a parent, neighbor, or loved one—you already have valuable caregiving experience.

  • Commitment to providing high-quality, respectful care

Requirements

  • Willingness to undergo training and complete necessary certifications such as the California Home Care Aide (HCA) Registration

  • Valid California Home Care Aide (HCA) Registration (required for experienced Caregivers)
  • Ability to pass criminal background checks

  • Valid TB Test (negative result required)

  • Valid US Driver’s License / Reliable Transportation / Current Automotive Insurance

  • Smartphone access for documentation and communication

  • Ability to communicate in English

Seniors Helping Seniors® in-home care services of the Peninsula & San Francisco (HCO #384700069) proudly serves clients in West/South San Francisco, Daly City, Colma, Brisbane, Millbrae, Pacifica, San Bruno, Millbrae, Burlingame, Hillsborough, San Mateo, Montara, Moss Beach, El Granada, and Half Moon Bay. The Caregiver position is on-site only, in client homes around the Peninsula & West/South San Francisco.
