Job description

Shift: 2nd, Monday - Friday 2:00pm - 10:00pm

Compensation

The compensation range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00 hourly. This position will be eligible for an annual performance incentive plan. The base pay actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, experience and take into account internal equity.

Job Duties:

Repairs and maintains machinery, mechanical/electrical equipment through inspection, troubleshooting, and evaluation to determine root cause of problems. Disassembles machines and repairs or replaces broken parts. Adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary.

  • Cleans and lubricates parts, orders replacement parts, inspects completed repairs and returns equipment to specifications. Adapts procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment to meet special needs.

  • Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues.

Basic Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older
2 years prior machine maintenance experience.
Strong mechanical/electrical understanding of complex equipment.
Use of basic hand tools and power tools. Knowledge of machine tools and their use.
Knowledge of basic electrical and electronic repairs.

Preferred Qualifications (PQs)

Education: HS/GED

Experience:3 years prior machine maintenance experience. Good written and verbal communication skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Mechanical aptitude.

Ability to follow diagrams, schematics, manuals, instructions and engineering specifications.
