Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner / Certified Nurse Midwife

The Company

Our client is a mission-driven Federally Qualified Health Center dedicated to providing high-quality, accessible healthcare services to communities throughout Florida. Their team provides comprehensive primary and specialty healthcare with a strong focus on prevention, education, and improving health outcomes for underserved patients and families.

The Position

Our client is seeking a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) or Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join their growing healthcare team in Panama City, Florida. This provider will deliver comprehensive, patient-centered women’s healthcare, including preventive care, gynecologic services, reproductive health, family planning, screenings, and ongoing management of women’s health conditions.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced advanced practice provider who is passionate about women’s health and wants to work in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
  • Active Florida APRN License
  • National Certification as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP), Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), or Related APRN Specialty
  • Active DEA Registration or Ability to Obtain
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Women’s Health, Gynecologic, Reproductive Health, or Primary Care Experience Preferred
  • Experience With Contraceptive Management and Preventive Women’s Healthcare Preferred
  • Experience With Women’s Health Screenings and Procedures Preferred
  • eClinicalWorks (eCW) Experience Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive women’s healthcare services to patients across various life stages
  • Perform routine gynecological examinations, wellness visits, and preventive health assessments
  • Diagnose and manage acute, chronic, reproductive, and gynecologic conditions
  • Perform and interpret women’s health screenings, including Pap smears, breast exams, and STI testing
  • Provide contraceptive counseling, family planning services, and reproductive health education
  • Assess and manage hormonal and menopause-related health concerns
  • Order and interpret laboratory testing and other diagnostic studies
  • Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Educate patients on reproductive health, disease prevention, nutrition, and healthy lifestyle practices
  • Provide culturally sensitive and trauma-informed patient care
  • Coordinate referrals to OB/GYN, behavioral health, mammography, and other specialty services as needed
  • Provide care through both in-person and telehealth platforms when appropriate
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain all required licensure and continuing education requirements
