Sexual Risk Avoidance Educator (SRA-E)
Non Exempt, 197 Days/year August - June
Requirement: Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, State Minimum Car Insurance and access to reliable transportation
I. Role
The SRA Educator is responsible for learning and presenting a variety of curricula, to high school and/or middle school students. The SRA-E will travel to or virtually provide presentations in multiple counties in Southwest Ohio.
II. Primary Responsibilities
In-school Education:
  1. Expertly and effectively present New Generation Youth Education (NGYE) programs to high school and middle school students.
  2. Be present and punctual for all scheduled presentations.
  3. Be prepared for presentations adhering to content delivery and performance guidelines.
  4. Be available August–June, work 197 days in conjunction with the school-year.
  5. Be available for classroom scheduling for up to 8 of the following hours: 6:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday–Friday.
  6. Work a 5-hour minimum office day when not scheduled in schools.
  7. Work a 5-8 hour office day for each make up day.
  8. Be responsible for all program materials needed for presentation and for inventorying, stocking and maintaining supplies for presentation kits.
  9. Conduct pre- and post-surveys with students as directed.
  10. Maintain excellent relations with school personnel.
  11. Obtain attendance sheets and other paperwork required for reporting purposes.
  12. Provide feedback/recommendations on program improvement to Supervisor Trainer Educator (S/T/E).
  13. Co-Present and observe other SRA Educators as needed.
  1. Student Outreach:
    1. Provide Student “Shout outs” as requested.
    2. Collaborate with Media Specialist as they collect classroom content.
    3. Produce Blogs for the NGYE website.
    4. Participate in Elizabeth’s New Life (ENLC) community outreach networking events and fundraising that directly impact the recognition of and the success of in school programs.
  1. Assist in training/observing qualified presenters to learn and present a variety of programs.
  1. Other Associated Responsibilities:
  1. Review and comply with program provisions, goals and grant requirements.
  2. Fulfill speaking requests for NGYE program promotion when requested.
  3. Attend departmental meetings and trainings, complete continuing education and take advantage of additional training opportunities.
  4. Other duties as assigned by the S/T/E or Director of Youth Education (DYE).
E. Administrative
  1. Provide Mileage and Stories of Impact to S/T/E.
  2. Respond promptly to email or other ENLC/NGYE correspondence.
  3. Annually review SRA Educator position with S/T/E.
  4. Assist in relevant administrative duties as needed during office hours.
  5. Assist in updating and editing program content as directed.
III. Qualifications
  • Willingness to support Elizabeth’s New Life Center’s mission and vision as well as promote healthy marriage as defined by Elizabeth's New Life Center.
  • Associate’s Degree preferred
  • Degree in Education or Experience working with high school aged students and /or middle school aged students a plus.
  • Experience in program presentations/public speaking
  • Positive Leadership, time management and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Computers-Email, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, Google Meet, Google Docs, must be able to record and send a video from your cell phone and access social media.
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds and carry equipment and materials to and from class, including up and down stairs
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and access to reliable transportation
  • Some evening and weekend work is required.
  • A servant’s attitude with the ability to understand how all tasks impact the agency
  • Ability to respect the dictates of the funding source for this position, which prevents using funds for inherently religious activities
  • Pass the ASCEND Sexual Risk Avoidance Specialist certification once hired
IV. Time Commitment
This position is a FT salaried position based on working 197 days/year.
