Job Designation:
Responsible for assembling and installing fasteners, hardware, and various components used in the manufacturing of airplane seats. Perform quality checks throughout the assembly process while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient production environment.
Job Core Responsibilities:
* Assemble components and subassemblies according to blueprints, work instructions, and quality standards.
* Learn and operate an industrial sewing machine to support production requirements.
* Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.
* Troubleshoot minor assembly issues and communicate production concerns to supervisors.
* Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area while meeting production goals.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of manufacturing orders.
Job Specifications:
* Education: High School Diploma/GED preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
* Experience: 1-2 years of manufacturing, assembly, industrial sewing, upholstery, aerospace, or related hands-on production experience preferred.
Skills:
* Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn manufacturing processes quickly.
* Experience or ability to learn and safely operate an industrial sewing machine.
* Comfortable using hand tools, light machinery, and production equipment.
* Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity when working with fasteners, small parts, fabric, and seat components.
* Ability to perform basic measurements and mathematics.
* Ability to read and follow work instructions, manufacturing procedures, safety guidelines, and quality requirements.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or inconsistencies in finished work.
* Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining consistent quality and productivity.
* Basic problem-solving skills and ability to follow established procedures to resolve straightforward production issues.
* Effective communication and ability to work well in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
