Job description

Job Title: Sewing Operator (Costurera )

Job Description

This role focuses on operating industrial sewing equipment to assemble high-quality radiation protection aprons and barriers. You will work with multilayer materials, follow detailed work orders and blueprints, and ensure each product meets strict quality and safety standards. The position combines hands-on sewing, precise measuring and cutting, and basic mechanical troubleshooting in a production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate industrial sewing machines, including single-needle, walking foot, and other specialized machines, to assemble radiation protection aprons and related products.
  • Sew and assemble multilayer materials such as lead or lead-free radiation shielding, vinyl, nylon, leather, plastic, coated fabrics, and similar materials.
  • Read and follow work orders, patterns, technical specifications, and blueprints to ensure products meet design and safety requirements.
  • Measure, cut, and align materials accurately using tape measures and other measuring tools to ensure proper fit, coverage, and alignment.
