POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Sewing Machine Operator Level II or IIIwill operate various sewing machines to join parts of fabricated articles or garments. This full-time hourly position is responsible for sewing garments for production and monitoring the quality of the final item. Need to be willing to work overtime as needed. Sewing test is required to be considered.


Radians is willing to train anyone with a sincere interest in learning to sew safety apparel.

6:30am-3pm; 6am-2:30pm; 7am-3:30pm (Mon-Fri)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: 

  • Read and interpret work instructions.
  • Verify fabrics, threads, and parts.
  • Operate industrial sewing equipment to assemble product.
  • Monitor machine operation to detect problems such as defective stitching, breaks in thread, or machine malfunctions.
  • Record Quantities produced.
  • Inspect Product for defects and mark errors as necessary.
  • Be willing to cross-train in various manufacturing areas.

Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE & OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing/assembly environment, with the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. regularly.
  • Good communication skills.
  • PC literate (MS Office) preferred.
  • Simple math skills, including the ability to use mathematics to solve problems.
  • Ability to read work orders, instructions, formulas, or processing charts.
  • Ability to package goods for shipment or storage; wrap products, measure, weigh, or count products and materials.
  • Ability to use hand and/or power tools.
