We're Hiring!
The Machine Operator is responsible for efficiently, effectively, and safely operating equipment across production lines, including fillers, labelers, and unscramblers. They respond to equipment issues and assist in troubleshooting to minimize downtime, ensuring production targets and quality standards are consistently met in a safe manner. This position is for the Night Shift (11:00 PM to 07:00 AM).
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  • Analyze "out of tolerance" conditions and make adjustments as required
  • Set up and maintain production assets (labeler, filler, unscrambler) to ensure safe and optimal run time, and adhering to all quality requirements.
  • Monitor work target achievements and take action to resolve equipment problems to ensure maximum equipment uptime
  • Communicate information to the Supervisor (i.e. production, machine and safety issues) and recommend remedial action as required
  • Demonstrate job functions to coworkers as needed
  • Continuously monitor product for defects and quality. Identify appropriate colors, alignment, lot codes, debris and other observable defects
  • Read, understand, and accurately execute Process Instructions (PI) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Communicate with coworkers in order to solve immediate production concerns or complete production assignments
  • Complete production assignments in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with department schedules.
  • Adhere to GMP and GDP requirements for proper line clearance and lead daily housekeeping activities during periods of downtime and at end of shift
  • Handle bulk materials and finished goods in accordance with safety and GMP requirements
  • Efficiently and safely operate assigned machinery; perform simple maintenance and report deficient, unsafe or malfunctioning equipment immediately to Supervisor or Manager
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
 
  • 2–3 years of experience with a high school diploma or equivalent required
  • OR 1–2 years of experience with post-secondary education or other relevant qualifications
  • Job-related certification or license required
