7th/8th Grade Science Teacher
Dr. John Ochsner Discovery Health Sciences Academy seeks Bachelor's or Master's degree teacher certified in Middle School Science Education. Degrees/Certifications in Special Education, Gifted Instruction, Curriculum and Instruction, ESL, and/or Reading Specialist certification is a desirable credential. 2+ years experience with middle school students in a school setting preferred. Knowledge of EOC/LEAP 2025 testing, ACT/SAT prep, and Louisiana State Standards preferred. Knowledge of STEM instruction, Design Thinking and Innovation, and Project-Based Learning is desired. A strong candidate will have an interest and ability to support one or more extra curricular club or sport outside of the regular school day. Trainings and workshops in the summer may be required. Position available August 2026.
