Job description

Service Account Manager
Own the installed base. Grow long term customer partnerships. Turn service relationships into practical contracts, upgrades, retrofits projects, and lifecycle solutions.
About Setpoint Systems

Setpoint Systems Corporation is an award-winning building automation and systems integration firm serving the Rocky Mountain Region since 1983. We have designed, installed, and serviced more than 4,000 integrated building control systems for over 1,600 commercial, industrial, and institutional clients.

Our customers rely on us for practical control solutions, responsive service, and long-term partnership. Our account teams are backed by experienced engineering, operations, service, and field teams that help turn customer needs into successful outcomes.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Service Account Manager who can own relationships with existing Setpoint customers and targeted building owners. This role is focused on protecting and expanding our service base through service agreements, controls support, retrofits, upgrades, and lifecycle solutions that improve building performance.

This is a customer-facing, relationship-driven sales role for someone who understands that the best opportunities come from trusted partnerships, proactive account planning, and a clear view of what each building needs next.

What You Will Do

· Own and grow Setpoint's existing service customer relationships and building owner accounts.

· Develop, renew, and expand service agreements, including maintenance contracts, controls support, and lifecycle service offerings.

· Identify retrofit, upgrade, replacement, and small-project opportunities from service history, site conditions, customer goals, and equipment lifecycle needs.

· Conduct account reviews, site walks, budget planning conversations, and owner meetings that convert operational issues into actionable scopes.

· Partner with service, engineering, estimating, operations, and field teams to build practical proposals and executable solutions.

· Maintain a clean pipeline, accurate forecasts, consistent CRM activity, and proactive follow-up through the sales process.

What Makes You Successful

· You protect long-term customer relationships and know how to create value after the initial project is complete.

· You can translate service issues, aging equipment, controls obsolescence, comfort complaints, and energy opportunities into clear recommendations.

· You are organized, responsive, and disciplined with renewals, open quotes, customer commitments, and account planning.

· You are comfortable calling on facility managers, property managers, building owners, and executive stakeholders.

· You collaborate across service, project, engineering, and field teams while keeping ownership of the customer outcome.

What We Are Looking For

· B2B account management or outside sales experience, ideally in building automation, HVAC, service contracts, facility services, energy services, mechanical/electrical systems, or technical retrofit sales.

· Experience selling service agreements, maintenance programs, controls upgrades, retrofits, tenant improvements, or lifecycle replacement work is strongly preferred.

· Ability to understand commercial building systems, BAS controls, customer pain points, budgets, and decision cycles.

· Strong relationship-building, communication, negotiation, follow-up, and customer relationship management skills.

· Ability to travel to customer sites for account reviews, site walks, renewal meetings, and owner/project development.

· Bachelor's degree is helpful, but relevant experience and a strong track record matter more.

Why Join Setpoint Systems?

· Established regional brand with more than four decades of building automation experience and a strong installed customer base.

· Opportunity to grow recurring service revenue while helping customers plan future capital and operational improvements.

· Technical support from experienced service technicians, engineers, estimators, project managers, operations teams, and field personnel.

· Ongoing training in building automation, controls solutions, service offerings, and Setpoint processes/procedures.

· Role designed for long-term account strategy, not one-and-done transactional sales.

· Team-oriented culture focused on practical solutions, customer satisfaction, and accountable execution.

Apply

Apply with your resume. A cover letter is optional; a short note about your experience managing service accounts, selling technical solutions, or working with commercial buildings, facility teams, building owners, or contractors is welcome.

Setpoint Systems Corporation is an equal opportunity employer. We evaluate qualified applicants based on experience, capability, and alignment with the requirements of the role.
