Job description

OverviewTactica Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced and qualified Senior Engineer (PE) for a Systems Engineering & Technical Assistance (SETA) contract supporting the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-4 for the Engineering Division on Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a senior engineering SME providing technical oversight and advisory support for USASMDC facilities engineering, sustainment, and infrastructure programs.
  • Lead complex engineering studies, technical analyses, and design reviews for construction, renovation, and facilities modernization projects at USASMDC locations worldwide.
  • Provide professional engineering guidance on structural, civil, mechanical, or electrical systems associated with USASMDC facilities and mission infrastructure.
  • Review and evaluate engineering drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and contractor submittals for compliance with applicable codes, standards, and Army regulations.
  • Coordinate with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), USASMDC DCSENG, and other stakeholders on project planning, design, and execution.
  • Support environmental compliance reviews, NEPA analyses, and sustainability initiatives as they relate to USASMDC facilities.
  • Provide technical input on facility-related Program Objective Memorandums (POMs), Military Construction (MILCON) projects, and sustainment budgets.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers; review technical products for quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare engineering reports, white papers, and technical briefings for senior USASMDC leadership.
  • Apply professional engineering judgment and seal (PE stamp) to engineering documents as required.
RequirementsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Minimum 10 years of professional engineering experience, with demonstrated expertise in facilities engineering, construction management, or related discipline.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in civil, mechanical, electrical, or structural engineering from a U.S. state/territory.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (civil, mechanical, electrical, structural, or related field) from an ABET-accredited institution required.
  • Knowledge of Army Facilities Management, MILCON programming, Army Installation Status Report (ISR), and relevant DoD/Army engineering standards.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar engineering design tools preferred.
  • Experience with Federal acquisition regulations (FAR/DFARS) as they relate to construction and facilities contracts.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills; experience briefing senior military and civilian leadership.
  • Active Secret security clearance required.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience supporting USASMDC DCSENG or similar Army Major Command engineering offices.
  • Familiarity with GFEBS, ePRISMS, and other Army facilities management information systems.
  • Experience with NEPA, environmental compliance, and sustainability programs for DoD installations.
  • Master's degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Experience supporting Missile Defense Agency or similar programs.
