ABOUT THE JOB
Set up or set up and operate various manual, pneumatic, electric, or hydraulic presses to cut, shape, and form metal, plastic, or other materials used in manufacturing operations to specific dimensions as specified by blueprints, CAD drawings, or other documented specifications.
Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Install die sets into various types of presses.
  • Adjust components and set stops on precision forming equipment.
  • Install, align, and secure holding fixtures and dies to press beds, using gauges, templates, shims, and hand tools.
  • Measure and i nspect workpieces for quality and conformance to acceptable part geometry and customer specifications using various measuring equipment such as height gauges, calipers, micrometers , optical comparators, measuring scales, etc.
  • Document specific set-up notes and diagrams to ensure process repeatability.
  • Start press and observe operation to detect possible misalignment or malfunction and make any necessary changes/adjustments.
  • Perform general maintenance and lubrication of presses to keep equipment operating correctly.

  • Mechanical aptitude.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. First shift days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00am to
3:30pm. Occasional overtime as deemed by management and production needs. Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.
Required Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of measuring equipment a plus.

Salary Range: $17.50-$25.00/hour
This is the full salary range for the position. Most new hires can expect to start around $17.50/hour.
Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
