We are currently seeking a full-time Audio Visual Lighting Technician II (L2) to work at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, CO.

We will consider applicants with experience in Event Technology who wish to pursue a career in lighting in a live events environment, working with stage lighting fixtures, dimming, and console programming.

The compensation for this Audio Visual Lighting Technician II position is between $24.00-27.00 depending on experience.

Summary of essential job functions
Shows & Events:
Lighting fixture setup and focus, Electrical and dimmer controls, Lighting Console programming and operation.
Rigging safety knowledge for lighting equipment
Strong computer skills CAD or Vectorworks a plus
General Audio, Lighting, Rigging, Dcor, Staging abilities & knowledge
Pull Equipment, load-in, set up, operate, Take Down, Load Out & Shop duties
Warehouse & Equipment Responsibilities
Other duties as assigned


Other Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED; some college preferred.
Excellent customer service skills proven through demonstrated ability to interact well with clients, both internal and external.
Maintain a professional image in compliance with the company's appearance/dress code.
Must have a clean driving record.
Must be able to accommodate a flexible and short-notice work schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must be able to lift 75 lbs.


The ideal candidate:
Will have experience in the Event Technology field working in a hotel/convention center environment.
Demonstrates an interest in pursuing a career in live events through relevant work or volunteer experience, or education in an Event Technology field.
Must have basic knowledge of live event stage lighting and the ability to learn and master new equipment and systems.
Must possess excellent customer service skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills, be well organized, have a professional demeanor, and be efficient in the use of time management.
