Carpenter Helper | Carpenter | Lead Carpenter
Brasfield & Gorrie is actively seeking commercial carpenters
at all experience levels for full-time work in Nashville and
surrounding areas. Whether you are just starting out as a
carpenter helper or you are a skilled carpenter or lead
with years of commercial experience, we have long-term
projects ready for you. If you take pride in your craft
and want to build on some of Nashville's most high-profile
projects, we want to hear from you.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
FORMWORK CARPENTER
- Construct and assemble formwork systems for concrete
foundations, walls, columns, and slabs
- Precisely cut, measure, and install construction materials
using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment
- Install anchor bolts, steel embed plates, and other
fixtures in formwork
- Remove and wreck formwork after concrete has cured
- Read and interpret construction drawings and documents
GENERAL CARPENTER
- Build, install, and maintain handrails and temporary
enclosures
- Install interior blocking; knowledge of doors, frames,
and hardware
- Install interior protections, floor coverings, and
waterproofing
- Read plans and specifications to guide construction
- Precisely cut, measure, and install construction materials
using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment
- Collaborate with plumbers, electricians, and other trade
partners on site
CARPENTER HELPER
- Assist carpenters and leads with formwork, framing, and
general carpentry tasks
- Move and handle materials; set up and break down work areas
- Maintain a clean and organized work site
- Learn and apply safety protocols daily
- This is a trade-track entry role - helpers work alongside
experienced carpenters and develop toward the carpenter
level
QUALIFICATIONS
- Carpenters and Lead Carpenters: minimum 3 years commercial
carpentry experience required
- Carpenter Helpers: prior construction experience preferred;
motivated entry-level candidates welcome
- Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Ability to work at elevated heights and lift up to 75 pounds
- Strong work ethic and commitment to jobsite safety
- Must adhere to company safety protocols and work in a
drug-free environment
- Carpenters and Leads: commitment to train, mentor, and
develop helpers on your crew
