Job description

Description:Job Summary:

This position will be directly supervised by the Membership & Marketing Director, General Manager. He / She will teach 3 classes each week Monday/Wednesday/Friday. He / She will provide a sustainable level of excellence in character, service and execution of job duties.

The current class description reads as follows below. Elements of Boot Camp and HIIT are incorporated into this class style:

Build strength and burn calories through a variety of total body strength and cardio exercises mixing in weights and interval training. Modifications can be provided for varying fitness levels. *Moderate to High Intensity Class – 45 min.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

§ Develop and conduct group exercise classes, certified and experienced to instruct

§ Acts as contact person for Club Members regarding group exercise

§ Consistent, reliable attendance in accordance with class calendar

§ Coordinate with Club Staff and Activities Committee to ensure classes are compliant with Club and departmental procedures and policies

§ Attend occasional departmental meetings

§ Meet departmental budget and make recommendations on future revenues/expenses

Requirements:

§ CPR / First Aid / AED Certifications

§ ACE, ACSM or NSCA Personal Training Certification preferred. Other personal trainer certifications may be considered upon review.

§ Must have weekday, early morning availability

§ Minimum two (2) years instructing similar group fitness class style

§ Ability to work with minimal supervision

§ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

§ Experience in a health club or private club industry preferred
