Job description

Position Summary: Responsible as technical resource for all sales people and customers working independently and assisting others as required. Provide SESCO personnel and their customer’s point-by- point photometric analysis using eLUME and AGI32 among other resources of specified applications along with technical assistance, and lighting fixture selection in an accurate and timely manner. Must be able to produce accurate lighting layouts.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide lighting product performance information to internal and external customers
  • Provide proper and efficient computer lighting models to assist the customer in analyzing and specifying the correct products for their application
  • Discuss technical and performance data published on various product groups specification sheets
  • Have an understanding and be able to discuss lighting code information.
  • Maintain paper and electronic documentation/records for tracking, liability, and reference data that may be used at a future date
  • Maintain product knowledge across the full SESCO product offering via Internet, literature, or verbal communications.
  • Attend product-training sessions when they are available
  • Assist customers when called upon via verbal and written discussion
  • Other duties as assigned by manager Essential Skills:
  • Experience in photometry
  • Proficiency in IES lighting fundamentals, light sources, light optics, luminaire performance, lighting calculations, photometry, lighting economics, and energy management
  • Expertise in AGI, eLUME, and Revit
  • Ability to read and understand architectural and electrical drawings and fixture schedules Develop complete fixture schedules and apply to application
  • Strong computer skills including facets of Microsoft Office
  • Organizational & communication skills
  • Must have the ability to multi—task and make decisions quickly
