Overview

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer SME to support a mission-focused government program delivering enterprise ServiceNow platform engineering services. The ideal candidate will design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow applications and modules, ensuring platform stability, scalability, and continuous enhancement across multiple enterprise tenants.

 

What will you do?

• Design, develop, test, and deploy ServiceNow platform enhancements based on customer requirements
• Configure and customize ServiceNow applications, workflows, UI components, and platform modules
• Maintain and enhance core ServiceNow platform capabilities across enterprise tenants
• Support planning and execution of system and software deployments in alignment with compliance standards
• Collaborate with ServiceNow engineers and stakeholders to implement system updates and configuration changes
• Identify system deficiencies and develop technical solutions and improvements
• Ensure consistency across development, testing, integration, and production environments
• Support production operations, end-user support, and incident resolution activities
• Document system changes, testing results, and maintenance activities
• Research and implement emerging technologies and platform capabilities as needed
• Evaluate hardware/software integration requirements and system performance impacts
• Maintain and improve development processes, standards, and operational procedures

• Must have a Top Secret Clearance with Polygraph

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with minimum of 16 years of relevant experience
• At least 5 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience
• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform modules including ITSM, ITOM, SPM, HRSD, CSM, Asset Management, and Change Management
• Strong JavaScript development experience within ServiceNow
• Experience with database systems such as Oracle or MySQL
• Ability to estimate work effort and manage multiple priorities effectively
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to work independently and in team environments
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to implement corrective actions
• Willingness to pursue ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:
 

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, Lean, and DevOps methodologies
• IT project management experience
• Experience with Java, Ruby, DevOps, and DevSecOps practices
