Job description

Description
Join Our Team as a Radiologic Technologist!
We're looking for a skilled and patient-focused per diem Radiologic Technologist to join our Radiology Department. This role plays a key part in providing high-quality imaging services and ensuring each patient receives exceptional care in a safe and comfortable environment.
This role will provide coverage when a shift vacancy occurs. The work schedule is frequently unpredictable as shifts are offered as coverage needs occur, there are no set hours per week, and may include days, evenings, nights, and weekends. The position receives an additional 10% per diem premium on the hourly base rate.
This is a perfect opportunity for someone looking to supplement their current career or remain engaged in the workforce but not be committed to working consistently. The position allows for flexibility in choosing coverage options.
What You'll Do:
  • Prepare and position patients for radiographic exams using your knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and imaging techniques.
  • Adjust equipment exposure factors and evaluate digital images for accurate positioning and technical quality.
  • Administer contrast media as a registered CT technologist.
  • Provide safe, courteous, and efficient patient care, including transport, transfer, and positioning.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas in accordance with infection control standards.
  • Perform reception and clerical duties such as entering patient and exam information in EPIC, scheduling exams, releasing images, answering phones, and editing orders.
  • Support the Radiology Manager and assist with departmental tasks as needed.
  • Follow all radiation safety, quality assurance, and infection control procedures.
  • Stay current on department policies and best practices in radiologic care.

Why You'll Love Working Here:
Join a supportive team dedicated to excellence in imaging and patient care. We offer a positive workplace culture, and the chance to make a meaningful difference every day.
Requirements
Ideal Candidate Possess:
  • Washington State Department of Health Radiologic Technologist Certification.
  • American Registry of Radiology Technologists registration within six (6) months from hire date.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Knowledge of technical factors utilized to operate equipment safely (KvP, MaS and distance).
  • Use of ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) guidelines.
  • Knowledge of facility equipment is preferred (GE Proteus, Canon DR SOLTUS 500, Konica digital Radiography system, BRIT PACS system, Toshiba scanner, Teleradiology, and computer).
