Our work relies on technology to support public relations, public engagement, supplier diversity, compliance, creative services, project documentation, data management, and client service. This position is ideal for a hands-on technology professional who can support established systems, strengthen internal processes, troubleshoot issues, manage documentation, and help the company continue to grow its technology use to support core business operations.

The Information Technology Manager will report to the Senior Vice President of Supplier Diversity and Compliance.

Key Responsibilities

The Information Technology Manager will be responsible for managing HillDay's day-to-day technology systems and supporting the company's continued growth. Responsibilities include:

  1. Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot existing technology systems, platforms, and infrastructure.
  2. Support cybersecurity best practices, including permission controls, authentication, backups, vulnerability monitoring, and user access management.
  3. Manage Microsoft 365 administration, including users, groups, permissions, licenses, email, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
  4. Maintain and troubleshoot web hosting environments, domains, DNS settings, cPanel, CRON jobs, SSL certificates and cloud hosting tools.
  5. Support network infrastructure, including routers, switches, VPNs, firewalls, and related connectivity needs.
  6. Maintain and support existing applications, websites, dashboards, and digital tools.
  7. Make light to moderate updates using HTML, PHP, JavaScript, Python, and MySQL.
  8. Support existing Laravel, Node.js, Git, and GitHub processes.
  9. Maintain MySQL database tables, support data integrity and assist with database performance.
  10. Document technology systems, workflows, access protocols, code changes and recurring processes.
  11. Coordinate with vendors and consultants when specialized technical support is needed.
  12. Identify technology improvements, automation opportunities and workflow efficiencies.
  13. Support the responsible use of AI and large language models to improve productivity and business operations.
  14. Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical managers and staff.

Required Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, management information systems or a related field required.
  2. Minimum seven years of progressive experience in information technology, systems administration, technology operations, application support, cybersecurity or a closely related field.
  3. Experience managing and maintaining existing technology systems in a business or professional services environment.
  4. Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices, access controls, authentication, backups and vulnerability monitoring.
  5. Experience with Microsoft 365 tenant administration.
Experience managing web hosting environments, domains, cPanel, CRON jobs and cloud hosting tools.
  6. Knowledge of networking infrastructure, including routers, switches, VPNs and firewalls.
  7. Working knowledge of HTML, PHP, JavaScript, Python and MySQL.
Ability to document systems, workflows, code changes and technical processes.
  8. Ability to work effectively with executives, managers, creative professionals, compliance teams and non-technical staff.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Knowledge of FedRAMP, TxRAMP and SOC 2 compliance standards and practices.
  2. Experience with Laravel, Node.js, Git and GitHub.
  3. Experience maintaining MySQL databases and supporting data integrity.
  4. Professional certifications or specialized training in cybersecurity, Microsoft 365 administration, cloud infrastructure, systems administration, database management or software development.
  5. UI/UX design experience.
  6. Experience supporting public relations, public engagement, government contracting, compliance, construction, infrastructure or professional services environments.
  7. Experience evaluating or implementing AI or automation tools in a business environment.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is responsive, organized, proactive and comfortable working in a growing professional services environment. This person should be able to manage competing priorities, communicate clearly, provide timely updates and explain technical issues in practical business terms.
