Service Sales Manager

Are you a proven sales leader with a passion for developing high-performing teams and driving profitable growth? Polk Mechanical Company, a leader in high-performance mechanical services and exceptional customer service, is experiencing continued growth across Texas. We are seeking a Service Sales Manager to lead our Service Sales team, develop strategic growth initiatives, and drive revenue across HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection and Dock & Door for service repairs, maintenance agreements, equipment replacements, and retrofit projects.

This is an opportunity to make a significant impact by leading a talented sales organization while partnering with operations to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Position Summary

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Service, the Service Sales Manager is responsible for leading, developing, and growing the Service Sales team. This role oversees sales strategy, team performance, forecasting, customer relationship management, and market expansion while ensuring sales objectives align with company goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of Service Sales Account Managers to maximize individual and team performance.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and profitability goals.
  • Drive growth in Preventative Maintenance Agreements, Equipment Replacements, Retrofits, Building Automation, Inspections and other service offerings.
  • Develop key relationships with Polk Construction to support cross selling opportunities
  • Establish sales goals, KPIs, and performance metrics while maintaining accountability throughout the sales organization.
  • Conduct regular ride-alongs, coaching sessions, and performance reviews to develop sales talent.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain top-performing sales professionals.
  • Work closely with Service Operations, Project Management, Estimating, and Executive Leadership to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop key customer relationships and participate in high-level sales presentations and negotiations.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
  • Review sales pipeline, forecasting, CRM activity, and reporting to ensure consistent business growth.
  • Champion Polk Mechanical's sales process, customer experience standards, and company culture.

What You'll Bring

  • 815 years of Service Sales experience with demonstrated success growing service revenue.
  • 35 years of sales leadership or management experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing sales teams.
  • Possess a strong understanding of service operations and offering for preventative maintenance agreements, equipment replacement, retrofit projects, and building systems.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic sales initiatives.
  • Experience managing sales forecasting, budgeting, pipeline development, and performance metrics.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with executive-level customers and key stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and business planning skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and sales reporting tools.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel throughout assigned territories.
