Job description

The Provider Services Manager serves as the principal business leader responsible for the design, administration, analysis, and continuous improvement of physician and advanced practice provider compensation programs. This leader partners closely with executive leadership to ensure compensation strategies align with organizational goals, support recruitment and retention, and remain compliant with applicable regulatory requirements.
The Provider Services Manager also leads provider contracting activities, physician practice acquisitions and integration efforts, and provides market intelligence and strategic recommendations regarding provider compensation, benefits, and employment models.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • MBA or MHA preferred.
  • AAPCP Certification preferred
  • FACHE preferred
  • Minimum of three years of experience in HR/compensation, medical group operations, healthcare strategy, or healthcare finance.

Essential Job Duties:
Compensation and Benefits Administration
  • Administer physician and APP compensation plans.
  • Interpret compensation plans for leaders and providers.
  • Model and validate compensation.
  • Partner with Finance and Payroll to ensure accurate payment.
  • Maintain compensation policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze national, regional, and specialty-specific compensation benchmarks.
  • Monitor changes in provider employment trends.
  • Conduct market competitiveness analyses.
  • Develop recommendations for Executive Leadership and the AMG HR & Compensation Committee regarding:
    • Compensation structures
    • Incentive plans
    • Recruitment packages
    • Retention strategies
    • Benefits

Provider Contracting
  • Lead employment agreement development and maintain templates.
  • Negotiate compensation and contractual provisions with new physicians, new APPs, and existing employed providers.
  • Coordinate administration with legal and AMG finance.
  • Ensure contracts remain current and compliant.

Practice Acquisition Activity
  • Serve as the AMG project leader for physician practice acquisitions to include coordination of valuation activities, due diligence, coordination of legal documents, developing financial analyses, lead integration planning, coordination of closing activities, and facilitating a smooth transition to the AMG operations team.
