Job description

If you have a passion for data and construction equipment, enjoy analyzing information, coordinating logistics, and identifying areas of opportunity, this is the role for you. As Equipment Operations Administrator, you will be the essential link between our equipment operators, field personnel, service technicians, and vendors. You'll manage critical equipment data, coordinate service operations, and ensure fleet efficiency so projects stay on track.
This position reports directly to the Mobile Equipment Superintendent and works closely with the equipment operations team to manage equipment data, coordinate maintenance and service operations, and optimize fleet performance. You will combine analytical skills with communication expertise to reduce costs, minimize downtime, and extend equipment life.Key Accountabilities
  • Manage and maintain equipment master data and information to ensure accuracy, reduce rework, and support data-driven decision making (25%)
  • Analyze valuable equipment information to identify cost reduction opportunities, increase uptime, and extend equipment life (25%)
  • Coordinate, schedule, and manage equipment maintenance and repair activities with service technicians and vendors, including creating and tracking service tickets and repair orders to minimize downtime and ensure accurate billing (35%)
  • Serve as the main point of contact for equipment operators, field supervisors, and service providers, ensuring clear communication about equipment status, repair timelines, and compliance requirements (10%)
  • Maintain compliance of company vehicles with regulatory requirements to ensure fleet mobility (5%)

Note: Time allocations are approximate. Five percent of time is reserved for ancillary responsibilities, interruptions, and unplanned activities.

Desired Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 2-4 years in a data analysis, equipment operations, fleet management, or related administrative role in a construction or heavy equipment environment.
  • Exceptional proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficient in maintenance management software or CMMS systems.
  • Basic understanding of DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
  • Basic understanding of Wright Express Fleet Fuel Card program.
  • Experience writing Bills of Sale and completing insurance value adjustments.
  • Experience with Tenna software is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites and vendor locations.
  • Management or supervisory experience is a plus.
