Service Lot Technician

Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Service Lot Technician to support our dealership’s Service Department. This position is responsible for maintaining an organized service lot, safely moving customer and dealership vehicles, and assisting the service team in providing an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely move, park, and retrieve customer vehicles throughout the service lot.
  • Keep the service drive and parking areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Assist Service Advisors and Technicians with vehicle movement as needed.
  • Greet customers professionally and assist with vehicle drop-off and pickup.
  • Maintain proper organization of vehicle keys and parking locations.
  • Perform basic vehicle preparation, including installing protective seat covers, floor mats, and steering wheel covers.
  • Assist with washing or preparing customer vehicles when required.
  • Check vehicles for visible damage and report concerns to management.
  • Help maintain cleanliness of the service drive and surrounding work areas.
  • Follow all dealership safety procedures and drive vehicles responsibly.
  • Assist the Service Department with additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to safely operate both automatic and manual-transmission vehicles preferred.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Professional attitude and good customer-service skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift approximately 25–50 pounds as needed.

The ideal candidate is reliable, hardworking, organized, and takes pride in keeping the Service Department running smoothly. Automotive experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
