Job description

Coastal Bus Line is looking for experienced school bus drivers to join our team in Charleston, SC. Must hold a valid CDL with P/S endorsement and state-issued school bus certification. We offer competitive pay, weekly pay, and flexible shift options, including full- and part-time positions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport students to and from school and related activities.
  • Ensure the vehicle is in good working order, adhering to all safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Follow designated routes and schedules while maintaining flexibility as needed.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure bus safety.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous attitude toward students, parents, and staff.
  • Ensure timely reporting of any incidents or issues, including equipment malfunction or behavioral concerns.
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid CDL with P/S endorsement and school bus certification in South Carolina.
  • Minimum 3 years of driving experience with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years and 4 or fewer points on the current driving record).
  • Experience working with children or in a school transportation role is a plus.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
  • Ability to adapt to various shift schedules, including morning, mid-day, and evening routes.
