Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI & ML) Intern

Position Title: AI & ML Intern
Reporting to: Director, AI Strategy & Architecture
Position Summary

The AI & ML Intern at Juno Labs will support the design, development, and testing of artificial intelligence and machine learning models to solve real-world business challenges. This role provides hands-on exposure to data preparation, model experimentation, and performance evaluation, while collaborating with experienced data scientists and engineers. The internship is designed to provide practical learning opportunities, contribute to active projects, and help advance Juno Labs' innovation in applied AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in collecting, cleaning, and preparing datasets for machine learning experiments.
  • Support the development, training, and evaluation of AI & ML models under supervision.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
  • Research and test new algorithms, libraries, and tools relevant to project needs.
  • Document processes, results, and findings to support team knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with engineers to integrate models into prototype or production environments.
  • Participate in code reviews, team discussions, and project planning sessions.
  • Assist in preparing presentations or reports on AI & ML project outcomes.
  • Stay current with academic research and industry trends in AI & ML.
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation, learning, and continuous improvement at Juno Labs.
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field

  • Foundational knowledge of machine learning concepts and techniques

  • Experience with programming languages such as Python and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn

  • Experience with LangChain, Crew AI, Amazon Bedrock, Google Vertex AI or Azure OpenAI Cognitive Services preferred, but not required

  • Familiarity with data analysis tools (Pandas, NumPy, SQL, or similar)

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with ambiguity

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated curiosity and eagerness to learn from feedback

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
