Human Resources Generalist - Security Services Industry

Dunbar Security Solutions is looking for an HR Generalist to support our HR Manager across a multi-branch operation. This role is a great fit for someone who has worked in security, guard services, staffing, or another high-volume, multi-site industry and is comfortable managing compliance, licensing, and employee relations at scale.

You will be the go-to person for benefits administration, employee relations support, onboarding new branch locations, and keeping our compliance and driving records audit-ready across every site.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Worker's Compensation and auto claims process from intake through resolution.
  • Partner with the HR Manager on employee relations matters, handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Administer health and welfare plans, including monthly and annual open enrollment.
  • Coordinate interviews and support the recruitment process alongside Branch Admins.
  • Lead onboarding for new branch locations and support Branch Admins through site launches.
  • Own monthly compliance tracking across all branches, state licenses, driver's licenses, work authorization documentation, and (where applicable) state security guard licensing/credentials.
  • Maintain and update the company-wide Driving Roster, helping ensure driver qualification files stay current.
  • Respond to employment verification requests and general employee inquiries.
  • Travel to branch locations as needed to support launches, audits, or in-person HR support.
  • Perform additional HR-related duties as the role evolves.

Position Requirements:

  • 1–3 years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar HR support role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or a related field (equivalent, relevant work experience will be considered in place of a degree).
  • Experience in the security services, protective services, or staffing industry, especially supporting a multi-branch or multi-site workforce.
  • Familiarity with driver qualification files, DOT-related compliance, or state security guard licensing requirements (e.g., PERC or equivalent state credentials).
  • Experience supporting Worker's Comp claims or employee relations investigations.
