Job description

Dogtopia of Austin is a full-service dog daycare, boarding, and grooming facility seeking an experienced groomer for our busy salon with large, established client base. Our grooming is FULL SERVICE and you should come prepared to do everything from the bath to the blow drying to the hair cut! Successful candidates should:
- Have the ability to groom dogs to breed standard, to include de-matting, shave downs, pattern clips and hand scissoring
- Be willing and able to groom dogs to specific customer requests
- Be comfortable directly handling dogs of many different sizes, breeds, and temperaments
- Possess strong time-management skills and the ability to accurately estimate the length of time needed for a groom. Our grooms are done by set appointment times.
- Be consistent and reliable on all levels. Perform their job with pride and integrity.
- Be excited to share new grooming service ideas and demonstrate a willingness to assist in growing the grooming business
- Have a positive attitude and strong customer service skills!
- Possess at MINIMUM 5 years of grooming experience within a salon
- Must have own equipment. Table and blow dryers are provided
