Job description

SUMMARY Plans, directs, and coordinates sales operations and administration for the International Division by performing the following duties personally and through third parties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintains close collaboration with distributors and other channels of distribution to ensure adherence to pricing strategy, philosophy, and general corporate guidelines.
Participates in the formulation of Jelly Belly Candy Company business objectives as they pertain to the international markets.
Develops and implements strategies and plans for international markets consistent with the company's business objectives.
Researches, analyzes, and monitors economic, demographic, and business factors in current or potential key markets to leverage opportunities for building trade and consumer brand awareness.
Identifies and pursues distribution and sales opportunities in new and established markets based on market trends, economic conditions, competitive activity, and corporate business objectives.
Supervises start-up and training of new distributors; monitors periodic retraining of distributor sales representatives.
Administers multiple requirements of customer service related functions including preparation of customer correspondence, credits, invoicing, new account set-up, samples.
Prepares documentation for product registration/approval/clearance by international distributors.
Facilitates New Product Development and the project management approval flow for marketing-related items and activities.
Manages unsolicited international correspondence and inquires.
Assists in advertising and promotional activities, and monitors their implementation and evaluates the results.
Coordinates corporate participation in trade shows held in international locations; provides support as needed to distributors participating in local in-market trade shows; attends trade shows.
Forecasts sales activity for assigned regions, including product, fixtures, POS and volume.
Coordinates, implements and evaluates trade show activities worldwide.
Ensures that product specifications are accurate in our internal database (M3) and GDSN data pools such as 1WorldSync.
Manages accuracy of International Price Lists.
Manages and evaluates data to determine the effectiveness of a product, sales promotion or activity.
Based on past performance and trends supports the sales forecasting team.
Inherent in each position is a general duty to maintain each respective work area in a safe and sanitary condition. Regular, predictable, full-time attendance is required as an essential function of this position. The employee may be required to perform other such duties within the scope of their employment as may be assigned. The employee must also possess the ability to take direction, follow instructions, work with others, follow work rules and schedules, and focus on details.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years related experience.
COMPUTER SKILLS To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Fluency in English and at least one foreign language required.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
