Account Manager โ€“ Commercial Landscaping and Snow

Our client is an established and growing commercial landscape company known for delivering exceptional service, building long-term client partnerships, and investing in their people. We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of commercial maintenance clients. This role is ideal for a customer-focused professional who enjoys relationship management, identifying opportunities for enhancement sales, and working closely with production and branch leadership to deliver top-tier service.

Position Overview

As an Account Manager, you will manage a $800K to $1.2M landscape maintenance and Snow portfolio, with responsibility for customer satisfaction, account renewals, and enhancement growth. Your success will be measured by renewal rate, enhancement penetration, and gross margin performance.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Account Management

  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned customers

  • Conduct regular site walk-throughs, formal meetings, and proactive issue resolution

  • Maintain a 90%+ renewal rate (company average is 96%)

  • Handle snow-related field phone calls during events and coordinate with the Branch Manager

Sales & Enhancements

  • Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts through enhancements

  • Perform all estimating, take-offs, and proposals for enhancement work

  • Achieve 50% enhancement penetration at 55โ€“60% gross margins

  • Support branch revenue and profitability goals

Business Development

  • Sell enhancements while maintaining acceptable gross margins

  • Build trusted, long-term customer relationships that lead to repeat and expanded business

Production & Leadership Communication

  • Partner closely with the Production Team and Branch Manager to exceed customer expectations

  • Ensure seamless communication between sales, operations, and leadership using Aspire

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Prepare estimates, contracts, enhancements, sales reports, and assist with accounts receivable

  • Maintain organized, accurate documentation and reporting using Aspire

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a horticultural or landscape-related field

  • Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills

  • Highly organized, customer-focused, and solution-oriented

  • Strong time management, prioritization, and multitasking abilities

  • Computer proficiency and fundamentals in basic accounting and business

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

  • Valid driverโ€™s license with a safe driving record

  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required
