Description

PURPOSE: The Restaurant Server performs all tasks associated with taking and delivering orders to guests. Servers are the face of our restaurant and are responsible for our customers' experiences.  


RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order 
  • Attend to customers upon entrance to the restaurant 
  • Present restaurant menus and help customers select food/beverages 
  • Take and serve orders 
  • Answer questions or make recommendations for complementary products 
  • Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff 
  • Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude 
  • Issue bills and accept payment

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Excellent verbal and people skills with a friendly attitude 
  • Warmth and graciousness with the ability to function in a busy environment. 
  • Attention to cleanliness and safety. 
  • Ability to work as a team player with excellent guest relations skills. 
  • Responsible and trustworthy 
  • High School Diploma

EXPERIENCE: 

Proven restaurant serving or waitering experience. Hands-on experience in cashier duties. 


JOB SETTING AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

To perform the job successfully the candidate must be able to use a computer and other standard office  equipment. Fluency in the English language and the ability to speak, hear, read, and write are required as  is the ability to work any hours/days of the week and weekends necessary to meet business requirements.
