Job description

Summary/Objective
This position plays a major role in a guest's overall event experience. As a event server you must be friendly, outgoing and possess good communication skills. You should be organized and able to think and act quickly and effectively while retaining self-composure. Event servers will also field questions about meals, and alcohol as well as speak knowledgably about the facility and be able to cross market our other locations.

Essential Functions

o Must be able to pass Team certification yearly.
o Serve three to four tables, as determined by event management.
o Have complete knowledge of event food and beverage preparation.
o Ability to sell alcohol items.
o Able to use a computer to ring orders on a check.
o Able to interact with guests in a friendly/fast and hospitable manner.
o Maintain specific side-work and ensure the total cleanliness and smooth operation of the facility.
o Ability to clear and reset tables.
o Check identification of guests to ensure guests are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages. Refuse to serve beverages in a polite manner to guests who are not of legal age.
o If consuming alcoholic beverages, observe guest’s behavior, count number of drinks served, and if the server feels they should not drive, offer a taxi. Do not hesitate to ask a manager to intervene.
o All guests must be treated in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction. Always strive to exceed guests’ expectations.
o Report to work in a neat and clean uniform. Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential.
Assist with other functions as instructed by the General Manager.
Uphold Common Man’s high standards and deliver wow service.
