Whiskey Cake Server Position

At Whiskey Cake, our servers are gregarious and extraverted, with an invigorating impact on people. Skillful with the emotional aspects of the guest experience, our best servers connect with their guests more than just the specific details of the menus and leverage this information to deliver hospitality efficiently and quickly. Some may say they're in the restaurant business, but at Whiskey Cake, we are in the people business.

Benefits:

  • Medical insurance benefits are available for hourly workers who average 30 hours per week within 90 days of hiring or average 30 hours per week at the next open enrollment.

Server Experience:

  • 2 years of upscale service preferred.
  • Craft cocktail and whiskey knowledge preferred.
  • High volume preferred.
  • Must have a love for food; deep food knowledge preferred.
  • Must have a strange but understandable affinity for bacon.

  • Awesome at telling stories about local farmers, ideas, or concepts (farm to table, repurposing, locally sourcing, cooking techniques, craft cocktail techniques) as well as informing our guests of our broad range of specialized products. Our most successful badasses are engaging, stimulating communicators, poised and capable of projecting enthusiasm and warmth, and love interacting and motivating other people.
  • Confident and persuasive in guiding the guest experience towards specific goals to enhance the guest experience. Eager to create a desired experience by utilizing persuasion, not pressure, to craft a memorable guest visit.
  • Flexible and adaptable, our servers rely on their ability to think on their feet. This flexibility is important for the fast pace of our restaurants. However, they must also demonstrate thoughtfulness in making a distinct plan to achieve goals.
  • They must have a strong sense of urgency, initiative, and competitive drive to get things done, with an emphasis on working with and through people in the process. Whiskey Cake servers understand people well and use that understanding effectively in influencing and persuading others. We take care of our team members and guests; we are in the people business.
