Nuevo Modern Mexican & Tequila Bar is hiring! Join our casual, exciting and welcoming Mexican Restaurant + Bar with open concept kitchen and vibrant atmosphere. Apply today and become a part of our team in the Server position - night and weekend availability required.
Server Position Summary: Nuevo's servers are professional, enthusiastic, engaging and Guest driven to provide an excellent drinking and dining experience. The ideal Server ensures that all Guests are provided with prompt, friendly service in a fast paced, high volume environment. Servers guide our guests through the menu, assist in making food and beverage selections, take and enter orders accurately, deliver food and beverages, process payments, and assist colleagues in all aspects of exceeding Guest expectations.
Responsibilities:
Must be friendly, happy, upbeat, outgoing and positive.
Observant and responsive, alert to Guests' needs.
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
Willingness to learn both typical POS and hand held POS devices.
Ability to work effectively within a Team.
Available for Training prior to going on the floor.
Participate in dining room setting: décor, condiments, service plates, etc.
Assist Guests in food and beverage selections, suggesting courses, explaining specialties and answering food questions.
Protect establishment and Guests by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
Qualifications:
Previous experience working in a full service, high volume establishment.
Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time.
Continuous use of hands, arms, bending, reaching, and twisting.
Ability to carry 35 pounds as needed.
Ability to carry trays as needed.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Reliable transportation required.
