Job Summary

Provides support, maintenance, administration, and troubleshooting of all server-based systems and associated components to ensure the highest levels of reliability and availability. Provides daily proactive monitoring of assigned server systems, participating in planning activities for all aspects of systems support, having responsibility for operational procedures, communication with functional departments, creating and maintaining system security, and planning, documenting, evaluating, testing, recommending improvements, and executing project-related activities. Serves as an escalation point for desktop support.

*Must be FL resident. 

*Remote position with a requirement to be on-site in the Sarasota location a minimum of one day per week and as needed for any hands on work in any of the data centers.


Required Qualifications

- Require a minimum of three (3) years of related work experience supporting servers in a large enterprise environment.
- Require relevant Microsoft Certification or equivalent.


Preferred Qualifications

- Prefer the ability to participate in disaster recovery initiatives.
- Prefer hospital experience.
- Prefer demonstrated advanced level of knowledge, understanding, and best practices related to the design, administration, and maintenance of MS Windows Operating Systems and server environments, client server application architecture, enterprise printing and file sharing, backup/recovery, VMware, Citrix, Active Directory, Exchange, ISA, Clustering, DR/BC, antivirus, etc.
- Prefer demonstrated ability to administer and troubleshoot various types of computer systems.
- Prefer strong written, verbal, documentation, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Prefer the ability to maintain adequate server software levels by reviewing, testing, and applying necessary and consistent software patches to Operating Systems and associated server components to ensure optimal performance and security against known vulnerabilities.
- Prefer the ability to implement proactive server monitoring tools and recommend system improvements.
- Prefer the ability to develop operational procedures required for the successful implementation of new or upgraded server.
- Prefer the ability to effectively present technical information in plain English, and communicate effectively with all levels of hospital personnel.
