Job description

The Food Server oversees, enhances, and ensures a pleasant dining experience for our guests. The food server will maintain a positive and respectful relationship with team members, engage with guests in a professional but fun and relatable way, and inform management of potential service and product issues before they arise. You will perform opening duties to prepare for service and closing duties at the end of your shift. The server also has running side work and cleaning duties during and after their shift. The Food Server reports to the FOH Lead and General Manager. 


Job Activities:

  • Complete product knowledge training, and written and verbal exams.
  • Greeting and seating customers 
  • Taking food and beverage orders and accurately entering them into the Toast system. Reading back items to the guest(s) prior to sending the order to the kitchen. 
  • Making menu item recommendations
  • Communicating any food allergy or special nutrition needs to kitchen staff
  • Ensuring all orders are filled quickly and accurately and that food is high quality
  • Providing attentive service to guests, fulfilling the steps of service before, during and after the meal is ordered and served. 
  • Promptly addressing any customer service issues and referring to management if and when necessary
  • Provides guests the check once guests are well into their meals but before they are looking for it.
  • Pre-bus tables during guest's visit and fully bussing table once guest has left. 
  • Keeping section neat, clean and tidy. Completes all closing duties and assists co-workers as needed.
  • Attend monthly All Staff meetings
