The newly reimagined Whaling Bar is looking for a hospitality professional with a passion for food, service, and providing unrivaled experiences for our guests. Our ideal server candidate is a charismatic and professional individual who is familiar with both our brand and our cuisine. Candidates should pride themselves on flawless execution, wine presentation, and menu knowledge for both food and beverage.

Duties and Responsibilities as follows:

  • full menu knowledge, selling menu items and curating the best guest experience, and building repeat
  • Take guests’ food and beverage orders, utilize salesmanship techniques, and make appropriate recommendations
  • Always read your guests when making suggestions
  • Input orders into POS system, correctly
  • Have a strong knowledge of our wine list and be prepared to answer questions
  • Open all wine and champagne bottles using proper wine service techniques
  • Anticipate guests needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests
  • Interact in courteous and professional manner with guests, supervisors, and co-workers
  • Act with integrity and honesty, and alert management to any and all issues that may arise at a guest
