JOB TITLE: Restaurant Server  


SUMMARY OF JOB: The Restaurant Server provides tableside service to the restaurant's customers. They support the Restaurant Manager by providing service to all customers and maintaining a conducive work environment. To accomplish these tasks, the Restaurant Server works closely with the Kitchen staff and customers.


REPORTS TO: Restaurant Manager

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Management

WAGE: Hourly Non-Exempt plus tips

SUPERVISES: N/A

  • DAILY DUTIES:
  1. Provide optimal customer service to Restaurant guests.
  2. Ensures that all activities conform to Trexcon policies and procedures.
  3. Communicate effectively and appropriately with all staff members.
  4. React to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned. Remains flexible in daily routine.
  5. Support the mission statement of Trexcon.
  6. Give fast, friendly customer service.
  7. Effectively communicates with all customers.
  8. Adhere to all product formulas. 
  9. Prepare all back-up products utilizing the correct equipment to perform each duty.
  10. Understand all menu items preparation and plate combinations.
  11. Operate all equipment according to manufactures regulations.
  12. Be responsible for cash handling and payment processing procedures.
  13. Understand and adhere to all Trexcon and county Health and Safety policies regarding the proper handling of food.
  14. Proper hand washing
  15. Proper glove usage
  16. Ensure all products within the proper food temperature zones.
  17. Proper storage of all foods according to product type
  18. Mark times and dates of opened and prepared food products
  19. Daily evaluation of products to remove outdated items.
  20. Accurately perform and record temperatures of products on the designated temperature food logs at least once per shift.
  21. Provide for corrective actions for all products within the temperature danger zone.
  22. Adhere to all uniform policies.
  23. Accurately perform all tasks required on the POS system.
  24. Properly use time clock to record all duty time.
  25. Finalize shift paperwork.
  26. Sweep and mop floors.
  27. Perform all cleaning duties assigned to position.
  28.  Attend store meetings.
  29. Empty trash containers as required.
  30.  Complete all food adjustments.
  31.  Other duties as assigned by the Restaurant Manager.




Requirements

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:


  1. Requires prolonged periods of physical activity, walking and carrying plates and trays.
  2. Requires physical exertion to manually move, lift at least 50 lbs., carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials.
  3. Occasional stooping, bending, reaching, and use of step stools.
  4. Requires some travel.
