IT Operations Technician 

Georgetown, TX
This is temp to hire – 3 to 6 months depending on performance

Pay:$28-$30/hr-w2

About the Role

The IT Operations Technician will work with our team to provide support for a wide range of IT systems and services in the MFG/Corp environment. As the IT Operations Technician , you will be responsible for building and racking servers. As an IT Operations Technician , you will work in a fast-paced environment and apply your technical knowledge to solve issues that will span multiple IT environments.

What You will Do

  • Participate in server build projects and assist with performing tasks.
  • Requisition server parts and components from warehouse.
  • Build/maintain physical servers.
  • Ability to connect servers to the network with DAC, Fiber and Ethernet cables.
  • Ability to install rails on servers and rack and stack servers.
  • System component failure analysis and repair.
  • Server burn-in tests to ensure components are performing optimally and without defects.
  • Upgrade hardware on servers when directed.
  • Create / manage support tickets (IP/SNOW tickets).
  • Create and maintain server build documentation/SOPs.
  • Document all processes, system changes/fixes, and issues when performing changes.
  • Hypervisor OS installation and patching.
  • Issue resolution and/or escalations if required.
  • Assist with any other projects/tasks as required.

What You Bring

  • High School diploma or Associate degree preferred
  • 2-4+ years of related work experience in in the IT field.
  • CompTIA A+ or Network+ certifications are beneficial but not required.
  • Configuration experience with VMware Hypervisor.
  • One year PC related hardware or networking experience is beneficial but not required.
  • Experience troubleshooting defective components.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
