Job description

Summary of Position:

Maintain excellent customer service in its atmosphere, to ensure guest satisfaction and a future return. Server assistants performing their jobs on a daily basis are required to be detailed in every aspect of their work while maintaining an efficient pace and assisting in keeping waste and spillage at a minimum.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide guests with water, coffee/tea, and bread service throughout the meal.

Remove used and unneeded dishes and glassware from guests tables to the dish area; scrape and stack dishes.

Maintain the cleanliness and safety of all common areas and service stations; clean up spilled food, drink and broken dishes; remove empty bottles and recycle/trash.

Re-set all tables in assigned section as guests depart; assist server as needed; respond appropriately to guest requests- communicate with server immediately.

Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as assigned by management.

Monitor and observe guests dining experience. Ensure that guests aresatisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.

Be ready and willing to assist fellow staff members as situations arise.

Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.

Job Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

Previous experience in full service restaurants preferred, but not required.

Requirements:

Ability to communicate and understand the English language.

Must speak English fluently and be able to write basic English.

Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.

Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.

Punctuality and regular, reliable attendance including reliable transportation.

Honesty and integrity; hard working.
