Job description

QED Hospitality is a restaurant operations management group, focused on running Food & Beverage operations in boutique hotels and exclusive sites nationally.
We bring our operational acumen to the table, developing and managing restaurants tailored to the hotel, the region and the demands of the market. These are not cookie cutter concepts, but true restaurants born of the region and based on our history.
The Server Assistant/Busser supports the service team by ensuring tables are properly set, cleared, and maintained throughout service. This role is key to creating a smooth dining experience for our guests, providing attentive support to servers while upholding cleanliness and hospitality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist servers in delivering food and beverages to tables when needed.

  • Clear and reset tables quickly and efficiently between guest seatings.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, service stations, and back-of-house support areas.

  • Refill water, bread, coffee, and other table items as directed by the server.

  • Assist with stocking, polishing glassware/silverware, and preparing service areas.

  • Respond promptly to guest needs, requests, and special accommodations.

  • Support a team environment by communicating with servers, hosts, and managers.

  • Follow all health, sanitation, and safety procedures.


Qualifications:

  • Previous restaurant, banquet, or hospitality experience preferred, but not required — we’ll train the right candidate.

  • Strong teamwork skills and a positive, guest-first attitude.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while staying organized.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and be on feet for extended periods of time.

  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.


Required: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must possess excellent communication skills and be willing to work as part of a team. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to uphold company standards relating to appearance and dress.
Preferred: High school diploma or GED.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the restaurant. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must have a manual dexterity and coordination to operate restaurant and office equipment and machines. Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
