Job description

We are an independent financial planning firm in Bellaire, Texas.ย  The successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter who is interested in making a difference in the lives of clients. We seek an individual willing to take initiative and seize opportunities to grow with the business.ย  We seek an individual who can work full time in the office.ย 

We work primarily with people who are retired or who are retiring soon.ย  Our practice is largely focused upon helping clients pay less tax and not outlive their money.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Maintain ongoing relationships with existing clients

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Process new account paperwork.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Process distributions, Roth conversions, and other transactions. ย 

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Respond to client inquiries.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Scheduling meetings with clients.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Assist clients with website access, password resets, etc.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Prepare for and follow up on client meetings.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Responsible for meeting compliance requirements.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Assist with administrative and marketing duties.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Potential to become a financial advisor.

ย Qualifications:

ย *ย ย ย ย ย ย Bachelor's Degree preferred

ย *ย ย ย ย ย ย Active 7, 63 and 65, or Series 7 and 66 preferred

*ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Texas Insurance License ideal

*ย ย ย ย ย ย ย 3 years or more experience in financial services

*ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Excellent written and oral communication skills

*ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

*ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Strong client service orientation

*ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Outgoing, friendly personality a plus

*ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Familiarity with NFS, Redtail, and Emoney a plus

Must be able to pass a background check including fingerprinting.

Compensation:

*ย ย ย ย ย ย ย $50,000 - $75,000 depending upon skill and experience

*ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Employer pays 100% of employee health and dental

*ย ย ย ย ย ย ย 401(k) with match
