Series 50 professionals are individuals who have passed the Municipal Advisor Representative Qualification Examination (Series 50) and are authorized to act as municipal advisor representatives. They provide advice to municipal entities and obligated persons on municipal financial products or the issuance of municipal securities. Passing the Series 50 exam is required by the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB) to ensure that municipal advisors possess the necessary knowledge and ethical standards. Series 50 professionals play a key role in helping municipalities navigate complex financial decisions and regulatory requirements.
