We're seeking a skilled and creative Nail Tech to join our spa team at a picturesque waterfront resort. Your artistry will play a vital role in providing pampering experiences for our guests.
As a Nail Tech, you will showcase your talent in delivering exceptional manicure and pedicure services. This position begins in April, making it the perfect opportunity to welcome the season and help our guests unwind as warmer weather arrives. This role offers an hourly wage of $16 per hour, service-based commission at 50%, and automatic 20% gratuity. The ideal candidate is available to work 5 days per week; weekends are a must. Create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere, ensuring guests feel relaxed and rejuvenated. Provide personalized consultations, recommending and delivering top-notch nail care treatments.

Responsibilities
  • Paint fingernails and toenails
  • Clean, cut and shape nails
  • Recommend colors, rhinestones and designs based on each customer's style
  • Remove previously applied polish
  • Prepare and clean beauty station in-between appointments
  • Sterilize equipment before use
  • Inform clients about additional services and offers
  • Give hand and foot massages
  • Offer nail care treatment tips (e.g. how to strengthen nails and how to make manicures last longer)
  • Up-sell treatments and beauty products, when appropriate
  • Take an interest in customers (e.g. chatting with them during appointments and remembering their preferences)
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Spa Manager.
Requirements and skills
  • Proven work experience as a Nail Technician, Manicurist or similar role
  • Expertise in basic and advanced nail techniques, including French Manicures, airbrushing and gel manicures
  • Knowledge of cosmetology trends
  • Understanding of sanitation and sterilization standards
  • Experience in customer service
  • High school diploma
  • Nail Technician License

Physical Demands:
  • Prolonged periods of standing.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to work early mornings, late nights and unpredictable hours, including weekends and holidays.

Performance Measurement:
90 Day performance review, annual performance review, attendance, productivity, feedback from others, Guest Response scores, etc.
